Jump cut views of the whole Earth viewed from the Command Module window as the spacecraft heads for the moon. There are a number of snap shot views of the Command Module window, with strong sunlight cast in onto its frame, mixed in with the Earth views - giving a surreal dream like feel.

Historic Context of Clip
Background to Apollo 8:
Apollo 8 was the second successful manned mission of the Apollo space program, in which Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot James Lovell and Lunar Module Pilot William Anders became the first humans to orbit the Moon. It was also the first manned launch of the Saturn V rocket.
