Description
John Young does up buttons on his tunic, floating below a couch on the right of the Command Module. Tom Stafford goes through a check list to the left of frame, adjusting his Olympus watch. Gene Cernan filming events with his right hand comes into the left side of the shot - seen at the edge of a very wide angle lens view. There is a good view of the main instrument panel in front of the crew, including the DSKY flight computer with its green digital read out. The camera pans back to the right to find John Young doing "press ups" with his finger tips off the instrument panel in front of him. Tom continues to do his checks as the camera is passed over to John who then films Tom and Gene at the opposite end of the space craft. Tom takes off his Snoopy cap and smiles into the lens. Gene smiles too patting Tom on his bald head. The two of them chat into the camera (mute).

Historic Context of Clip
Background to Apollo 10:
Apollo 10 was the fourth manned mission in the Apollo program. The mission included the second crew to orbit the Moon, and the test of the Lunar Module in lunar orbit. The module came to within 8.4 nautical miles (15.6 km) of the lunar surface during practice manoeuvres.
