Apollo 10 View of The Moon from Onboard The Lunar Module  (FTV-0002174)
Loading the video player...

Description
A rare close up view of the Lunar Module ladder fixed to the leg strut and leading down from the hatch is glimpsed at the start of this clip as the descent stage of the LEM is jettisoned in lunar orbit. The clip continues as lunar craters and plains pass beneath the upper stage of the LEM which adjusts its orientation as it makes the climb back up towards the Command Module. Some very dramatic rolling mountain ranges are seen casting long shadows across the basins they surround.
