Description
A view of the hatch leading to the connecting tunnel joining the LEM and the Command Module. The camera pans down to see the inside of the Lunar Module. Astronaut Jack Schmitt floats "upside down" in the spacecraft - looking up at the camera. He wears his Snoopy cap and sun glasses and manipulates a couple of life support gas pipes. Sun light streams in through the triangular LEM windows catching the specs of dust that float around. Jack (Harrison) Schmitt floats about looking out of the windows. There are very clear views of the inside the lander with its instrument panels and controls. Jack's NASA patch and his stars and stripes flag can be seen on his tunic. About one minute into the clip Jack reaches over and picks up a 16mm movie camera and holds it up to his eye to film Ron Evans who is filming him. At the end of the clip the original camera is handed to Jack and he turns it on Ron Evans and films him floating in the connecting tunnel. His mission patch and name patch are visible.
