Apollo 11 capsule communicator (capcom) Charlie Duke talks to the Apollo 11 crew shortly prior to the Descent Orbit Insertion (DOI) burn of lunar module Eagle.

101:17:07 Duke: Eagle, Houston. It appeared to us when you're doing the P52, maneuvering the S-band, the High Gain went into the stop. Verify that both S-band breakers are in. Over.

101:17:23 Aldrin: Rog. I think I'd got it to 90.0 before it went there. The one on this side is in, and I'll check the other later.

101:17:29 Duke: Okay. Thank you, Buzz. [Long pause.]

The clip shows part of the above exchange from a camera positioned in front of Charlie Duke in Mission Control. The audio has been synced with the picture as accurately as possible, with film leader added either side and audio overlayed to better show the context of the clip. Seated on Duke's right is Apollo 11 backup crew members Jim Lovell and Fred Haise.

Historic Context of Clip
Background to Apollo 11:
The Apollo 11 mission was the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It was the fifth human spaceflight of the Apollo programs, and the third human voyage to the moon. Launched on July 16, 1969, it carried Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin.

Landing:
On July 20, 1969 the Lunar Module, called Eagle, separated from the Command Module, Columbia to make its descent to the lunar surface. As the landing began, Armstrong reported they were "running long"; Eagle was 4 seconds further along its descent trajectory than planned, and would land miles west of the intended site. Armstrong's first words after landing were: "Houston, Tranquillity Base here. The Eagle has landed."
