Description
This footage was taken of the back row of mission control during the moments when Apollo 11 touched down on the moon. Visible from left to right are Deputy Director of the Manned Spacecraft Centre Chris Kraft, Director of the Manned Spacecraft Centre Bob Giruth and Manager of the Apollo Spacecraft Program Office George Low. A couple of film runoffs have been added to demonstrate the time the camera had stopped recording. Towards the end of the clip there is a view of Apollo flight director Clifford E. Charlesworth with a cigarette in his mouth.

102:45:57 Duke: We copy you down, Eagle.

102:45:58 Armstrong (Pause) Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.

102:46:06 Duke: (Momentarily tongue-tied) Roger, Twan...(correcting himself) Tranquility. We copy you on the ground. You got a bunch of guys about to turn blue. We're breathing again. Thanks a lot.

102:46:16 Aldrin: Thank you.

102:46:18 Duke: You're looking good here.

102:46:23 Armstrong: Okay. We're going to be busy for a minute.

102:46:25 Aldrin: Master Arm, On. Take care of the descent vent.

102:46:38 Aldrin: Very smooth touchdown. (Pause)

(the above dialogue is represented as accurately as possible, and has been combined with the flight director's loop on channel 2. It was recorded on the air to ground flight loop at the moment the footage was filmed, however no audio and picture lip synchronisation is possible with anyone visible in shot)
