Whether you are an individual camera operator, or a large media production company, footagevault can
help you increase the value of any footage you have gathered over the years, by digitizing, hosting, licensing and selling your
media to potential new customers. Sales charges We split the revenue from any clip sales equally with you. Technical requirements If you are planning on digitizing and clipping your own media please supply it to us as Quicktime .mov files, in an acceptable broadcast quality resolution (Standard Definition - minimum 8 bit uncompressed 720 x 576, High Definition - minimum DVC-Pro HD codec or equivalent at 1280 x 720). Metadata should include clip titles, basic descriptions, keywords, clip durations, frame sizes, frame rates and codecs. |

For those without the time or the facilities to supply us the meta-tagged digital media, we offer a full range of clip preparation services.
a. Digitising your footage to Quicktime .mov files
We can digitise your archive from it's original media and can handle almost any format, from vintage film and magnetic tape to state of
the art streaming media codecs. Please contact us for a quote.b. Generating clips
To break your media into clips and meta-tag them we charge an up-front fee per clip, which depends on the volume of clips you wish to generate.Please contact us for a quote.
Managing your own clips
We will provide you with your own footagevault contributor account to manage your own media and meta-data, so you can add any specialized keywords and control the clip prices etc..
Media Hosting Charges
We charge a small annual fee of £0.01 per second of footage to host your media on our servers.
